Director, R&D
Lacey J.S. Robb, Esq.
LL.M. Taxation
Lacey’s practice focuses on R&D tax credits and other related deductions. With more than 20 years of legal and tax experience, Lacey brings a unique perspective to each R&D tax credit study that is performed. From her tenure spent at law firms and Big 4, she has overseen filings of complex multistate tax returns transactions and has practical contract and legal formation experience. Since she has performed due diligence studies and participated in numerous audits, her breadth of knowledge allows her to take a holistic approach to each study, and not just identify the qualified expenditures, but understand the overall effect to a client's tax position.
She has been invited to provide continuing education to CPAs, attorneys and other special interest groups. With her compliance knowledge, she can break down how the R&D credits and other benefits can be maximized. She has worked at law firms in each state she holds a license, KPMG and EY.
Lacey grew up in North Dakota, where she went to undergraduate and law school at the University of North Dakota. After law school, she continued her education by taking accounting courses at North Dakota State University while working at Legal Aid of Minnesota. After completing the accounting curriculum, she pursued her LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Denver. She holds her bar license in California, Minnesota and Colorado.
When she is not working, she enjoys traveling the US and internationally running in marathons. She is pursuing running the 6 world majors and is set to complete her final one in Boston in 2025. Her love of animals has led to her trapping, fostering and socializing the stray cats that will find their way to her back porch during the winter. While she would love to be a foster fail, her current cat, Rocky who is 22.5 years, enjoys being the solo king of the castle.
